California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC)

The purpose of the Commission on Teacher Credentialing is to inspire, educate and protect the students of California. The Commission envisions all of California's diverse learners, preschool through grade 12, will be inspired and prepared to achieve their highest potential by a well-prepared and exceptionally qualified educator workforce.

Child Development Training Consortium

The Child Development Training Consortium was developed to promote high quality early education to children and families in California. They provide financial and technical assistance to child development students and professionals.

Credential/Permit Lookup

The Commission on Teacher Credentialing has made credential information available at the link above in order to provide immediate access for educators. The credential information provided serves as the official record of certification. Changes, updates, and/or corrections made to records may take up to three working days to be reflected on the website. Some credential records issued prior to 1989 may not appear. Educators whose application status and/or credential history does not appear can email CTC at credentials@ctc.ca.gov for more information.

CTC Fees

Application fees vary depending on the credential or permit being requested and the method of submission. For Clear or Professional Clear Credentials, the current online application fee is $127.65 per credential, which includes a $125.00 application fee and a $2.65 processing fee. For all other online credentials or permits, the current online application fee is $102.65 per credential, which includes a $100.00 application fee and a $2.65 processing fee. Online payments must be made by debit or credit card. When submitting a paper application through the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools Credentials Department, the application fee is $100.00 and must be paid by Money Order or Cashier's Check made payable to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). Designated Subjects and Career Technical Education (CTE) Credential

The Fresno County Superintendent of Schools has been approved for a Designated Subjects and CTE Credential Program. Please contact Janet Sloan at 559-497-3852 for program information.
